I am 1.53m, and I bought size S. I have used it twice already with a 6kg load on Bukit Timah hill circuit. Each time about 6km, 2 hours, 300m elevation. Shoulder straps, hip belt, sternum strap, load lifters all fit perfectly well on me. But fit adjustment is a dynamic process
, we have to continuously work to relieve pressure points by fiddling with the tension in our straps. I love the side zip opening with provide quick access to the main compartment. Super love the 2 quick access pockets to flask, which means that I don't have to ask for help when trying to get to my flask in the side pocket. Things I wish it has is a built-in whistle and rain cover. My only gripe is the ventilation, which is not as good as my other brand (the one with the bird)

The MH500 is an inexpensive hiking bag with well thought-out details such as excellent angled water bottle pockets, front access zip, strap retainers, and extra bottom attachment loop points. I've actually been pairing mine with camera insert cubes to use as a photography bag
that's significantly more comfortable than any dedicated photography bag I've seen on the market (aside from the Deuter Futura Jaypack 36 which is also a hiking backpack with a camera insert). I do have two complaints - firstly, the curvature of the frame isn't very pronounced so there's not much separation between the mesh back system and the rest of the bag, resulting in comparatively poorer ventilation than competitors with similar designs (Osprey, Deuter, etc). Second, the frame height isn't adjustable. At 178cm, I felt that the frame on the Large size bag was just a little shorter than I'd have liked, but there was no way to deal with the discrepancy, and no longer version of the bag to purchase. Gripes aside, I think the MH500 is overall a good product at a very competitive price point.
