Hi Marie,Thank you for sharing your feedback on our MH500 4P Stainless Steel Camp Cookset 3.5 L.We're sorry to hear that you encountered issues with the plastic parts of the set.We chose polyamide (cutlery and handle), polypropylene (plate, mugs), Tritan (lid), and silicone (t
rivet) because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), impacts, and deformation. However, keep plastics out of direct contact with flames or they may melt.The plastic also help prevent heat transfer when you have hot content and have to put the plates on your lap for example and adds durability to the set. We want to share some cleaning tips for your set to help with some of the issues you mentioned:Before first use, rinse all the items 3 times with fresh water.After using it, wash the parts in soapy water (preferably warm), then dry them before storing them in a dry place.All the parts are dishwasher safe, however we recommend that you hand-wash your frying pan and pot (to protect the coating). Also avoid abrasive scrubbers or sand when cleaning the inside of cookware. We haven't used this cook set but I know its going to be fabulous. Very solid and nice looking to be honest. Not a fan of the cups/cutlery. I'll make my mind up when we've tried them. The frying pan & pan are a good size, there's just the 2 of us but I want the max size I can
get on my induction hob. Super easy to get it allnout and put back again. I bought a third slightly smaller pan to fit amongst the pack. The plates/cups etc coming out to allow for this. Great set!

Bought this as we have a single burner in the back of our small van, more than big enough to make a chilli for 4 and all of the plates and bowls are super easy to use and surprisingly insulated. Would say this is perfect for tents or campers, it is very heavy so not ideal fo
