Main Material

You are learning to surf or surf only a few times a year, during your holidays or a surf trip. You stay where you can touch the bottom, in tiny waves or broken waves. You surf for the pleasure of being in the water and for the feeling you get from it. During your sessions, you often fall but the waves are not very powerful. We have a wide range of swimwear for occasional surfers to suit your body type.

Beginner surfers

Our Tami halter-style bikini top provides moderate coverage and can be adjusted at the neck to ensure a snug fit and good stability in the waves.

Body type

Our swimsuits are designed to stay in place in the waves. Our suits are tested by a panel of female surfers with different body types. They’re first tested in a pool under simulated surfing conditions, then worn during real sessions in the ocean.

Stays in place in the waves

Padded cups are pieces of foam inserted into a swimsuit top.
Our swimsuits have fully removable cups
Only on sizes 12/13 years and 14/15 years

These cups are meant to hide the nipples,

What are padded cups?

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers based on growth. For this reason, a child’s size is typically associated with their height, not their age. In fact, two kids of the same age can have completely different measurements. We recommend trying swimsuits on in-store when possible.

Girls' swimsuit sizes

Here is the size guide for our girls’ swimsuits:
Age 8/9: 133 to 142 cm
Age 10/11: 143 to 150 cm
Age 12/13: 151 to 160 cm
Age 14/15: 161 to 169 cm

Girls’ swimsuit sizes

Swimsuits become looser when wet, so it’s important to choose the correct size. Your swimsuit should fit snugly when you try it on in the fitting room. Keep in mind that the elastane in some of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

Dry sizing and wet sizing

Are you unhappy with the size or style? Would you like to exchange it at your Decathlon store? No problem, just be sure not to cut off the tag in case you want to exchange it.
