Is there a hole or tear in your wetsuit? Don’t throw it away!

To get the most out of your wetsuit, it’s important to choose the right size. A surfing wetsuit should fit snugly and have no visible folds. It’s normal for the suit to feel too tight when dry; this discomfort will disappear once you’re in the water. A wetsuit that’s too big will be loose in certain areas, causing chafing and reduced insulation due to water penetration.

Choosing a size

The synthetic lining improves its resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 4/3 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell elastomer foam (polychloroprene) containing nitrogen bubbles.

Materials

The neck is designed to limit irritation. If you have sensitive skin, consider wearing a UV-resistant top under the wetsuit to reduce rubbing and chafing. To prevent chafing during longer outings, we recommend applying petroleum jelly around your neck and underarms. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.

Neck

The seams are stitched and glued to guarantee waterproofing and resistance. The seams are "blind-stitched", which means the thread does not pass through the entire thickness of the neoprene and so prevents water from getting through. The lack of threads on the inside prevents irritation and chafing. Patches for comfort and reinforcement are strategically placed on the inside in sensitive areas.

Watertight assembly

Our zips and fastenings are lab-tested for guaranteed durability and resistance to salt water. The zip is at the back of the wetsuit for greater comfort when lying down to paddle.

Fasteners

In accordance with safety regulations, our wetsuits for kids aged 10 and under have a short zipper cord to prevent strangulation. A longer cord enables older kids to operate the zip themselves. A rip-tab strap keeps it from opening in the water.
