Main Material

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 1092 standard).The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This product was validated in a shower test using 60 L/m²/h of water for 1 hour. This test reproduces average rain shower conditions in the mountains.
A component with a 5,000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 5,000 mm column of water (which is equivalent to a 1h rain shower).

Component waterproofing

Component breathability is measured by thermal evaporative resistance (RET). 
RET refers to a fabric’s capacity to let perspiration evaporate. 
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.   
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric 
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: little breathability

Resistance to wear and abrasion test: for example, we test our fleeces in the lab to ensure they do not pill. Colourfastness test: we check colourfastness to ensure colours don’t bleed if they come into contact with saliva. Aging test: Verifies that repeated washing does not alter the fabric’s properties, performance, thickness, or appearance.

Component durability

1. Machine wash (30°C): mild detergent. Wash jackets and pants inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2. Avoid bunching the garment in the washing machine: this can damage it. 3. Do not mix garment types and colours. 4. Do not use bleach. 5. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6. Either hang dry or tumble dry low on a short cycle.
