Fit The 900 is designed for advanced skiers looking for rigidity, support and precision to ski fast. Its close-fitting shape (100 mm) and preformed liner with strong foam provide great precision. Its rigidity provides excellent responsiveness but requires physical commitment and good skiing technique. Equipped with a GripWalk sole, it offers good walking quality (warning, the ski bindings must be GripWalk compatible). Adjustable calf volume.

Experience

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flexibility rating (flex) to every boot. This figure indicates the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher the value, the stiffer the shell. 
– A flex rating under 60 is for beginner skiers.
– A 60–80 flex rating is for intermediate skiers.
– Higher ratings are more for advanced skiers. Heavier skiers, however, can go up a level.

What is flex?

The Fit 900 ski boot has 4 aluminum micrometric hooks for powerful and precise tightening. Adjust the length of the buckle for the ideal fit. The top 2 hooks have 3 positions to fit all calf sizes (tool-free adjustment). A wide, adjustable strap on the upper for strong and easy closure at the top of the shell.

This is a new ski boot with a standard outer sole. The raised toe allows more natural foot movement and easier walking. Important: Bindings must be compatible with GripWalk!

What is a GripWalk sole?

Boot sizes are given in Mondopoint size. The size matches the length of the foot in cm. 
Put the back of your heel against a wall, slide a sheet of paper underneath, flex and measure your foot length.
For example, if your foot measures 27.2 cm, choose size 27/27.5.
A size 27 shoe is exactly the same as a 27.5

What's my shoe size?

With your foot inside the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? If so, the boot isn't the right size for you. With the boot closed, flex 3 times, pressing hard on your shins (put your hands on your knees to help) and push your heel backwards inside the boot. Stand upright: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you no longer feel the tip.

How do you know whether a boot is the right size?

1. Choose a thin technical ski sock to prevent pressure points and promote circulation in the foot.
2. Choose a sole adapted to the shape of your foot to prevent it from being squashed and pressing against the shell. Ask an in-store salesperson for advice.


What should you do in case of foot pain?

1. Air out your boots by removing the liner from the plastic shells.
2. Fasten the buckles at the first notch to prevent the boots from losing their shape and, if possible, store them in a boot bag. 
3. If possible, store them in a dry place above 10°C. The boot’s plastic will thank you for it!
