Men’s Down Winter Jacket with Hood – MT 500

I wear a standard fleece over my work shirt, this jacket and a 3L shell daily. Temperatures were well below -20 C this week and I was completely comfortable, even with the wind chill. My only complaint is the plastic zipper. This is a superb jacket but has a cheap zipper.

The jacket was a good fit, close to the body, but able to layer under it. It is lighter than my other 800 fill jacket but feels as warm. It is comfortable with a long sleeve t down to around 0, and with a mid layer, comfortable down to minus 10

It keeps warm and protects from gusts and cold.

The thin down insulation was suitable to keep me warm to -10 (-15 with windchill) on my recent trip to Calgary, and the hidden elastic cuffs in the sleeves and hood provide that extra bit of sealing to keep out the wind. Currently living in Vancouver, the added bonus that it can be rolled up into its own bag is that I can stash it away in my luggage until I needed it when I landed in Calgary.
