All Wedze gloves and mittens have a water-repellent treatment that makes water slide off the fabric’s surface instead of being absorbed. This means the fabric does not become saturated. It remains light and warm. A treatment applied to the outer surface makes the fabric water-repellent. To remain effective, this treatment must be reapplied every 2 to 3 washes with specific products that are available in our stores.

Water repellency

These mittens have a water-resistant membrane (a thin polymer film) between the lining and the outer part of the glove. This membrane acts as a barrier, making the product waterproof. The product’s exterior materials are also treated for water repellency. 
In extremely wet conditions, the waterproof rating of glove with membrane will drop as "waterproof" glove would have to be made out of "rubber" type material
