The ball fibre filling is a good alternative to feathers:

- Easy to care for: can be machine-washed.
If not, shake the down jacket while drying so the down doesn’t clump.

The benefits of ball fibre synthetic filling

Water repellency is achieved by applying a treatment to prevent water from remaining on the fabric’s surface. 
Water rolls off without being absorbed so the garment remains light, breathable, and warm. This product is water-repellent, not waterproof.
This treatment should be reapplied to remain effective. Apply treatment on the outside instead of using additives during washing. Additives can damage the product’s breathability.
