They are waterproof. Yes. The toe box is wide enough for my weird foot wide with long toes at front very narrow at heel. They are a little too wide at back and feel heavy.

Great shoes, works as advertised. Stepped into soft mud and after pulling my feet up, the mud and water just slides off nicely. If planning to trek in deep mud, suggest to get the higher cut boots to reduce chances of water getting in. There was once when some water slipped in
to my shoe through the heel. Suggest to upsize as the cutting is a bit small. I'm usually a size 35/36, but had to get 38 for this. Also recommend trying out the shoes in store, where there is a small slope for you to test out the grip and whether it may pinch your feet when going up or down

I decided to buy the MH 500 Blue Quechua shoes versus another pair that was about $30 cheaper as it was of a softer material and felt more comfortable. Just tested it out on my overseas hiking trip in the forest where I had to climb alot of steep steps and walk through stone
s and rough terrains. On my 2nd hike today, it was raining heavily throughout our 4 hours hike. Thank goodness the shoes provided good traction & grib. Overall I am happy with the shoes.
