This approach enabled us to increase the lifespan by 35% compared with the average lifespan of a line of products.

Eco-design: what does that mean at Decathlon?

For optimum flexibility for sudden changes of direction and push-offs, wild dashes, and between-the-lines passes, we use the following two technologies: The Flex-H, on the front of the outsole, allows the sole to bend in the shape of a horizontal "H".

What is the "Flex-H" technology?

Because turf soccer cleats are designed for play on hard fields, they are made with cushioning that absorbs shocks. For the Viralto 3, we chose nothing less than the best. This is why we use exclusive high performance EVA Kaleidoscope® foam.

Cushioning on soccer cleats: EVA Kalensole® foam

We designed these soccer cleats with a podiatrist specialized in sports and professional soccer. Together, we developed and validated the various technologies and concepts used in these soccer cleats.
When creating the outsole, for example, the number of studs, their rounded shape, and their locations on the cleat were specifically researched and designed to ensure the best balance between grip and comfort.

"Safe care": soccer cleats that put your feet first: do they even exist?

We enlarged the main surface area that makes contact with the ball by placing the laces in an asymmetric line. The laces were shifted to the outside by 10 degrees to provide you with a larger sweet spot for controlling, passing, and striking the ball.

Caring for your cleats

The Viralto cleats come with 4 different sole variants. These refer to the type of field you play on: - TF (turf or stabilized): rubber sole for hard synthetic or slate fields. - FG (firm ground): the famous "moulded" TPU studs made for natural or long synthetic grass.
- MG/AG: (artificial): sole specially designed for synthetic fields.
- SG (Soft Ground): for soft or muddy fields; a hybrid sole that has 6 screw-in studs.
