Scientific studies in our SportsLab research laboratory indicate that zero-drop shoes create a stride similar to running barefoot. This allows for better shock absorption, potentially strengthening your child’s muscles and tendons over time.

What are zero-drop shoes?

For a stride that’s as close as possible to running barefoot, AT Flex Shoes are based on four design principles:
- Zero drop and good flexibility so that the midfoot, rather than the heel, hits the floor first
- Light weight for a smooth stride
- Anatomical shape to minimize restricting the foot

Result: when the foot meets the floor, energy is transferred to muscles at the back of the leg, which are better able to absorb the impact.
