Dumbbell description

With its unique approach to the weight bar, this hex dumbbell creates a beneficial imbalance that promotes muscle development. Ideal for intensifying cross-training movements such as push press, front squats, and clean and jerks!

Why use dumbbells to train?

We listened to your feedback and designed this dumbbell with 6 sides to prevent it from rolling. 

The rubber coating provides optimal protection against impacts while also reducing noise. 

The ergonomic handle has a non-slip zone and curved shape that guarantees a perfect grip.

Why does the dumbbell have a rubber exterior and hexagon shape?

Use a rubber mat for exercising safely with this hex dumbbell (ref.: 8651539). The mat will protect your floor if you drop the dumbbell.

Be careful not to drop the dumbbell

To protect your floor, we recommend storing your dumbbell inside on a rubber mat (ref.: 8651539). This will prevent the dumbbell from causing any damage. However, you can also store it on a bar and weight rack (ref.: 8788246).  
Clean your dumbbell regularly with a clean cloth.

Storing and maintaining your dumbbell

Use Decathlon Coach to discover a range of exercises you can do with the 12.5 kg (27.6 lb.) dumbbell.

Exercises from your Decathlon Coach

4 to 6 sets with 1 to 2 minutes of rest between sets: 
- Beginner: 20 sec. work, 40 sec. of rest, then go to the next exercise.
- Intermediate: 30 sec. work, 30 sec. rest.
- Experienced: 40 sec. work, 20 sec. rest.

After finishing the first movement, rest then go straight to the second. Then to the third, fourth and so on:
- Dumbbell thrusters
- Press-ups with one arm rows
- Romanian deadlifts
- Box jump burpees

As you progress over the weeks, increase your exercise time and decrease your rest time. You can also increase the number of rounds and slowly increase your weight as you get stronger.

More experienced athletes can wear a weighted vest to make the circuit even more difficult.
