no cushion on the tongue

I like the large amount of reflective detail for winter running. But the tongue has no cushion at all. The main part is fairly firm and then there is an edging of a softer fabric that comes about 1cm further up towards the ankle. I wasn't sure how this would feel but after we
aring around the house I found it uncomfortable and think it would be likely to rub on the bend between your ankle and top of your foot. I will be returning them. The shape of the toe is pointed and my smaller toes feel cramped and pushed inwards. It might not be suitable if like me you like room for toes to splay rather than be held firmly in place. But this is very personal as we all have different shape feet. The rest is what you would expect from Decathlon at that price, good value compared to big brands.
