For warmth, we used insulating fill (60 g/m²). This synthetic, polyester-based lining traps air according to the size of the fibres to keep you warm.

Which fabrics are used to make my pants warm?

We lab test our products to provide you with a comfort indicator. The comfort indicator is measured without tights for pants, and with a thermal T-shirt and a fleece for jackets. The temperature indicated is the external temperature at which the testers were neither warm nor cold. Of course, the perceived temperature varies depending on the intensity of the activity and each individual’s metabolism.

How is comfortable temperature measured?

The regular fit allows the pants to be combined with a technical base layer.

What is the fit of the 100 Ski Pants?

The coating is a waterproofing material applied to the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows perspiration to escape. That means you stay dry and more comfortable during outdoor activities.

What is the coating?

A fabric’s water resistance is measured by the height of a water column in mm it can support (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This component has a waterproofing resistance of 3,000 mm, meaning it can resist the pressure of 3,000 mm of water.
For skiing, we advise components rated between 3,000 and 20,000 mm. 
At Decathlon, we lab test all of our waterproof products. The score for this product is 1/5.

How is your pants’ water resistance measured?

To keep your legs warm and dry, two layers of clothing are enough:
- a ski base layer to wick away perspiration.
- ski pants to protect against bad weather and provide warmth.

How should I dress to keep my legs warm on the slopes?

These pants have elastic gaiters at the ankles to cover your boots. The seal created by the gaiters keeps the snow out.

How can I prevent snow from getting in my pants?

To optimize your product’s performance and durability: 
*Machine wash at 30°C on a synthetics cycle. 
*Turn the product inside out.
*Use a small amount of detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
*Wring by hand. 
*Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.
Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.

How should I wash my pants?

We commit to repairing your product free of charge for the duration of the warranty. If you need the seams, zippers, or another element repaired, contact your store. However, if we can’t repair your product (production defect), we will exchange it or reimburse you.
