Ice Skates for Indoors and Outdoors – Fit 500

We tried these skates in size EU44 (10.5). We found them to be very peculiar, and we ended up returning them. These skates have blades which are much longer than usual, and the blades are extremely flat across their entire length (whereas conventional skates have much more o

f a curve to the blade from front to back). The result is that there is WAY more flat blade area in contact with the ice than you'd have with a typical skate. This means you can't naturally shift your weight forward/back slightly to make minor corrections to your balance, and if you try to turn the skate even slightly (or try to do a typical hockey stop) the large blade area catches the ice instantly and you're down. I tried them, my wife tried them, my son tried them - we all agreed that they offer a very strange skating experience that we couldn't get used to. It's as though they were designed by someone who had never skated before and didn't know how skates were supposed to feel or work. We appreciate Decathlon's easy return policy!

These are amazing quality for the price. Super comfortable compared to traditional skates. Be sure to actually go into a Decathlon to get your proper size. Just looking at the sizes online isn’t enough. You need to actually be fitted. The stores have sizing tools to help.

Not a good fit too narrow from the ankle and hurts it

My partner and I got these skates for recreational use. Both of us loved the three locking mechanism, and were excited to find skates at such a reasonable price. We have used them now 4 times and they are incredibly uncomfortable. In fact, causes pain in both the bottom of the

foot and the lower calf each time when wearing. The size is right, and we have played around with loosening. The skates appear to be too rigid to be comfortable. A real disappointment as we do not live near a decathalon (bought them on vacation) and are unable to return via mail.
