Please note that your ankles must be strong enough to wear pointes. Speak with your instructor before wearing pointe shoes and dancing on pointe.

When are you ready for pointe shoes?

A specialized Tunisian factory makes our pointe shoes using a traditional method. 
This traditional method—stitching the sole of the pointe shoes inside out—ensure greater comfort and flexibility. 
This permits the sole to move with your feet as you dance on pointe.
Each pair of our pointe shoes is hand-stitched by specialists.

What is the advantage of this traditional stitching method?

1) Sit down and slip on the pointes, then tie the ribbons around your ankle. The elastic will be stitched on to fit your ankle and instep.
2) Stand up, put one foot on pointe, then the other, to test the rigidity of the sole as compared to your ankle strength.

How to try on your pointe shoes

The rigidity of soles should suit the strength of your ankles.

The sole should not be:
Too supple: when on point, your feet should not go too far forward, 
Or too rigid: if, when on pointe, the sole does not stay in contact with your instep, you can’t bend your foot properly, so you won't be able to dance on pointe.

How to choose the right pointe shoes

When choosing your shoes, remember that your toes must be supported, not compressed!
Your toes should be comfortable in the slipper and not feel stiff. However, you should feel supported.
If you plan to wear silicone/foam/cotton pads inside your shoes for comfort, choose one size larger than usual.

A removable gel pad at the bottom of the shoe adds comfort.

How to make your shoes more comfortable

If your dance teacher does not feel you are ready to dance on pointe, you can exchange your shoes or get a refund in stores or online.
