The sides are too flexible, so it doesn't stay as a hat, rather as a cap or something. The ventilation is bad - even in windy weather, if it is hot - it will be hot, not enough air coming through. I had to reattach the ties using another knot - at some point the original knot
untied on both sides.

So happy with this! Great for light drizzle if caught out but I haven't tested it in proper rain. Fantastic for sun, great brim - doesn't cover your shoulders but will cover your neck and face. Love the neck strap, it's adjustable around the head so you can tighten it, and it
fits well! Make sure to double check the sizing listed and you won't have an issue.

I bought this a year back and brought with me on almost every hike. I swear by the waterproofing and it can be rolled small enough to keep into my trek pants side pocket and goes back in shape. A very versatile trek hat which I got a 2nd one and left in both my hiking day bag,
