These pants are great for the money. More insulated than expected so warm for hikes above freezing, but perfect for sitting in cooler weather. Boot gaiters are nice to keep warmth in and sticks out. Only complaint is the gaiter boot lace clip rubs when you wear them tucked int

I don't think they are breathable...like gortex.

These need to come in different lengths to accomodate different sizes (like pretty much all other trousers), the knee pads are so far down they were on my shins and there was excessive material elsewhere so I'm having to return them, in short if you take a larger waist size bu
t don't have long legs you're out of options and I suspect the same is true on the other scale as well if you're tall but have a small waist. If these came in other sizes I'd recommend but cannot currently. Shame as they were going to be just what I needed.
