Description claims it can be used with platform pedals. However I found the grip to be very poor on two different sets of mountain biking pedals while doing technical mountain biking - far worse than the old, worn out trail running shoes I used previously. Pretty disappointing

and clearly not designed for this purpose, and some pretty misleading advertising. Otherwise it is a nice shoe, and if you intend to use it with clipless pedals and/or on easy trails and smooth roads, then I'm sure it would work well. Unfortunately for me it is useless unless I decide to try clipless pedals while mountain biking, which was not my original plan.

Before these I also purchased the ST100 which are a pair of very basic MTB shoes. These ST500 have the same bottoms but better looking and ventilation. There is also this shoe laces quick release thing and pockets to store the shoes laces very convenient. I worried the additio

nal use of mesh would result in them not able to keep my feet warm but it seemed to be ok so far.

Tried to find good cycle touring shoes for many years without success. Found these to be very comfortable and easy to walk in. They would be perfect if a little more stylish.

I’ve never had cycling shoes before but these are great. Really help with putting down more power on the bike and easy to walk around in normally because of their design. Also got the cleats from decathlon and was really easy to setup. The laces tuck up nicely in the tongue fo

r neatness. Yes really pleased with them.

Haven’t really used in anger yet. Doing a cycle holiday soon so they are really for that. The are very light, comfy and easy to walk in. Clip in easily and on my turbo (haven’t tried them outside yet) feel very good, firm enough to push and pull. Will up date after outside lon

ger ride.
