I am a regular hill walker and due to my age, now require the use of walking poles at all times. I get through a pair roughly every 12 to 18 months. These new poles are excellent and would recommend. They are light, comfortable and very premium for the price compared to other
branded poles. I particularly like how quickly they reduce in size without lots of clips or screw fasteners.

Good and stable, but slip over time

These were great for my 160km hike. However every 2 hours or so I would notice that they had slipped around 10cm. I tried tightening the bolt, but it still happened. Apart from that they were comfortable and stable.

Following a 7 day backpacking trip in the wilderness of Scotland I found that my main issue with these trekking poles is that they're noisy. When you use them, they make a clicking sound because the bottom part moves a bit. This noise can be annoying, especially when you're en
joying the quiet of nature. You might even stop using them just to keep things quiet, which is what I did quite often, but that defeats the purpose of having the poles in the first place. I'd probably get my poles elsewhere if i knew this ahead of time. No complains other than that.
